Discount tire scratched my wheel!

Well got my AG m359's this week, brought my car to discount tire today to get new front tires put on them and they scratched one of them pretty good. The assistant manager said he could have it refinished i told him my wheels are four days old and there is no way im having it "repainted". I told him there are only 2 options new m359 wheel or give my the 250 dollars for the wheel. He said he could buy a bmw rep wheel for $125 if that would work. after explaining that my wheels arent china rep wheels he said due to you moving next week talk to the discount tire where your moving. (North Carolina). I'm pretty p!ssed. Any thoughts?

You stated "assistant manager" correct? That means there are a lot of people above that position.

I am a manager from Discount Tire. Discount Tire is a dealer for AG wheels and they have the ability to order a replacement of your exact wheel.

Ask for the Senior Assistant Manager or the Store Manager. Explain your issue and they shouldn't have a problem replacing your wheel.

If it isn't resolved feel free to pm me and I'll do what I can to help you out.

Sorry about your issue with us.

He was the senior assistant manager unfortunately. He did go back and talk to the manager. It seems like all they wanted to do was have it refinished. If I wanted it refinished I would have bought used for a much cheaper price. Hopefully we can come to an agreement. Thanks for the advise, I will let you know what happens.

Our sites only list wheel brands we carry in stock in stores or our warehouses. Our system in the stores has a massive database of brands we are dealers for and there are thousands of them. It would be very difficult to maintain on our site and very confusing to our average customer.

I just ordered a set for my e90 from them. We have been a dealer for them for a few years.

Well I talked to the area manager and as soon as I get to NC I can head to discount tire and they will set me up with a new wheel. He said he couldnt beleive they wanted to refinish a brand new wheel. Hope mount and balance is free lol. Goes to show that even if the store doesn't make things right the company will.

That's good to hear! I hate hearing stories about tire shops totally mutilating wheels.

Glad it will be working out for you. Im in NC and know a manager in this area who is someone I know really well. If it doesnt work out and your in the Raleigh area I am sure he will offer a lending hand. He has been with discount tire for over 10 years.
