Tried for the last 5 days to order some online. Even when it was showing in stock, the website wouldn't let me add to basket.

I'm having an interim oil change tomorrow at National Tyres - 55 for Castrol Edge, and they have the hassle of disposing of the old stuff

Actually it's costing me a bit more than that as I'm providing the oil filter to use instead of the one they'll supply but still a lot cheaper than dealer prices

I had my interim oil change done yesterday at national tyres - great deal and only cost me 40 - oil (castrol edge 5w 30 and oil filter) also used a 10% voucher they have on their website.

I wanted to watch over the guy in the workshop as he did it to make the sure the oil was right - but they wouldn't let me for health and safety. But he assured me they only use castrol and the right oil for my car. Just wanted to see the drum where he got the oil from. The invoice did say castrol edge 5w 30 on it. For 40 can't complain. Save me some money for upcoming vehicle inspection, brake fluid and pads I got coming up.

I'm still in warranty for the next 8 months and have also had a couple of issues over the past year with oil levels too high (dealer last year stuck 0.5l too much in, then last week I had a new sensor fitted as it was reporting too high while the real dipstick showed normal)

So I want to use a genuine BMW filter this time around as the first question they always ask is if I've topped up the oil, hoping they can pass the blame.
