Cool Another Newbie :D

Soo,
i got my car around 3 weeks ago and have always been a fan of BMW and since im bavarian, im also very proud of the german engineering which is amazing in those cars. Im 16 years old and this is my first car, so please keep that in mind It's a 2007 328xi and has already 99k miles on it. I picked it up for 12k, but i didn't really know of all those issues bmws have and dont have any kind of warranty on it :/ It has the navigation system, the cold weather packet and comfort access. I don't know if i'm gonna be able to do any mods on it since my dad is very strict with those kind of things. Mostly here to see what issues might come up with the car / get some help from all you experts

Congratulations! I got my car at 16 as well and have loved driving it every day since. 325, 328, and 330's with the n52 are pretty bullet proof cars. You shouldn't have too many problems to deal with as long as you keep up on maintenance. Only problems I've had to deal with are are oil filter housing gasket leek, sway bar replacement, and passenger occupancy sensor replacement.

Welcome dude, getting a BMW at 16 is quite lucky. Hopefully you can mod it somewhat. But man that mesh in your front upper and lower grill got to go right now

I'll try to convince my dad for sure
What would be the first mod to start with? maybe around 300-400$ ?
And yea, i know i can consider myself very lucky to get a BMW with this age

Think about maintenance first.

Think about maintenance first.
Get a copy of the Mike Miller old school maintenance schedule.
google Mike Miller BMW online.
Changing out all the fluids would be a first priority.
Its overdue for spark plugs if those haven't been done yet. Check all the filters to.
Also I would set aside some money for things that are likely to need replacement soon like a water pump.
If its an auto consider a transmission fluid change/flush .

This link should help you with site navigation

it has a little rough time starting in the morning :/
oil change was just done and will be made in ~10-15k intervals, right?

Read the Mike Miller old school schedule

Read the Mike Miller old school schedule
Use it as guideline for long term maintenance.
Most people that care about there cars will change the oil
at 7500 mile intervals or once a year.

i had my E46 when i turned 16 and did nothing at all to it since it was a m-tech model!! my LR3 had some mods on it and my current E90 is slowly getting there just doing little stuff so it remains tasteful see if your dad will let you put on the following

1. Blackline taillights. Reasonable price and improves the rear-end of the pre-lci E90s heaps!
2. Performance exhaust. The 325i is so quiet and the Performance Exhaust just sounds so damn good for relatively little money.
3. Lower it... do it on the cheap with springs else spring for some coils
4. Wheels
5. roof spolier & m3 lip spoiler
6. front splitter. nice and easy to install and very cheap around $80 painted!! and improves the look drastically

In that order.

^Will try to do at least some of that

Also, if someone would be able to check my car on carfax for service records and stuff please shoot me a PM
I dont really want to spend 40$ on one report :/ and the dealer just gave me the "AutoCheck" report, which records accidents and such but no services done or something like that.
