Geez... really? I thought I would have some time to scout out hotels.


So... where does everyone want to stay? Somewhere in the inner city? Or near the Welt? We will have to drive a little bit to find a self service car wash. The waterless car wash products might come in handy IF you plan ahead.

What about the place we all stayed at last year? Motel One in Garching. It was easy to find and had great U-bahn access! Just a few subway stops to the city center.

Let me know what you guys think. And what all we will be doing once we get into Munich. How many days will everyone stay>? Sat and Sunday? Or just Sat or what?

Maybe we can plan something else special while we are all together? BMW Classic tour (ie the secret museum) or a nice beer garten or city shopping or tourist stuff? Does anyone want to stay Monday too?

My first stop will be Heidelberg or Wiesbaden depending on where Rick will be residing at that time. Have to see what he's planning in order to adapt to his plans.
But.... I would like to drive down to Munich on saterday morning and be there around noon.
Hotelwise... everything's allright for me. BMW's secret garage sounds good for me saterday afternoon.

Yes Rudi, the Welt and Museum will both be open on Sat and Sunday. The Welt car show is on Sunday. The BMW Museum is always closed on Mondays. The Welt has all new displays... so it is worthwhile to go for a look-see.

We could try and "schedule" a tour of BMW Classic. But they only do those tours on weekdays. So that might not work for all of us. PLUS they charged about 200 euros for a small group of up too thirty people.

Comar1979 arranged for our tour of BMW Classic - two years ago. We did it on the Friday before the Welt 2.0 meeting. Then we went to a nice Beer Garten.


This year TeamOrga already has some 150 cars registered for the Welt 4.0. So I am sure we will be over 300 cars the day or the car show.

As we get closer TeamORGA will let us know. Just posting here in this thread gives us a good 1Addicts head count. I have been meeting with TeamORGA every few weeks in Munich. I think the show will still be free - like in previous years. I will ask though.

I think staying close to the Marienplatz/inner city would be preferred. I will most likely be going down on Saturday so being close to that area would be my preference.

The carwash I found last year was perfect and wasnt far from the hauptbahnhof. Could probably find it again.

The closer our hotel is to centro, the more expensive so I'm good with the motel one we stayed at last year... Maybe we can book a block of rooms and get a discount
