I bought an M dead pedal (a.k.a. foot rest) from Tischer and it does not come with any mounting anchors. When I rip the OEM one off the floor I broke all 4 tabs because it was on really really really tight, and whatever broke off fell into the holes. Now I have 4 holes in the carpet, and the underside of the new M dead pedal has only hollow tubes moulded into it and no ancor, and the holes do not bite the tubes. How am I suppose to attach the pedal??? I probed around the underside of the holes with an L-shape metal stick and couldn't feel anything under the sheet metal, just a flat surface above a hollow space. I PM'ed Tischer and they said they have 3 more new M dead pedals in stock and none comes with any anchor. ?!?!
Can someone help me solve this puzzle!

I had the same issue when I installed mine, but once you clip it in under the dash and place the footrest pegs into the holes it actually holds. Yes, there will be some wobble, but once you put your floor mat back in and it abuts the bottom of the footrest it works just fine and mine feels very secure. You can always mount a velcro strip under the footrest if you want a little extra grab. Hope this helps.

i had the same issue.
i took electrical tape and wrapped it around the posts to make them thicker. that made them snug in the holes.

Thanks... Reason I asked is black on beige isn't as smooth as it could be... I still like it especially since I had to bust out the old one
and I guess it does balance the two sides out.. |

I had hard time removing the stock footrest. I had to pull it so hard that the plastic tubes broke and fell through the hole. I installed the M footrest without problems. If you have manual transmission like me, it helps to press the clutch down when trying to get the flap in place.
Now I hope the plastic pieces from the stock foot rest don't start making noise. Does anyone now how to reach that area under it? |

Just finished installing, looks great. taking the original one off was a pain, putting the M deadpedal in was easy but having it stay was a pain.. like some of the post mentioned above, I added some tape around the part that goes into the hole, fits perfectly. these light up the interior by adding some sort of design to those boring rubber pedals.. IMO i think this combo looks better then the alum. set, think I will keep it as is now,

I think the M dead pedal with OEM stainless steel framed gas/brake/clutch pedals will look fantastic.
