AUX question - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

i have an mp3 player and i connect it with the AUX port but nothing appears on my idrive ( i mean can i play, skip, pause ... songs from idrive or i should use the mp3 player for that ) i can play the songs from the mp3 player but with no control from the idrive ( i think its a sandisk ) do i need to get specific mp3 player to integrate with idrive ?

Yeah the AUX port won't let you interact with your mp3 player from the iDrive screen. Only USB ports in newer models let you do that from iPod/Phone. AUX is just for sending audio, no other data.
