Never knew that. All dealers do that? Ill give them a call and see.

Which Sytner? Sunningdale?

I used Sytner BMW..after I bought all my service parts (oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, oil, front and rear brake pads and discs), I rang around and the best price I got was £138 from Sytner Sunningdale. Worst was £400 - for SERVICE ALONE! Won't name names though haha
LOL Sytner Sunningdale, thats where I bought my car from need to give them a call.

Sunningdale just quoted me:
Oil (Labour) and Oil Filter: £53.77
Front Brake Pads: £231.36 – 10% = £208.22
Micro Filter: £50.94 – 10% = £45.84
Bake Fluid Change: £56.03 – 10% = £50.45

Whats the difference Micro Filter and Oil filter?

What do you think about the prices?

i rate sunningdale quite highly, and always try to use them when i have work done. they offer especially high levels of customer service, i think, down to the fact that they are also a RR service/dealer site

as for the prices, they look good to me to be honest. microfilter is the air filter for the cabin basically, and the oil filter is well.. a filter for the oil

i say go for it

LOL why aren't they simply called air filters then, complicating things. How often is a micro filter changed? It don't come up on the CIC..

The cabin filter is called the pollen filter I think. Takes about 2mins to change yourself and can be bought for about £20. There is a setting in the idrive somewhere, I can remember resetting it... DIY section has a walk through

Might try them next. My guy is very cheap as he's a friend, but for anything that needs a specialist it might be worth going to yours. I've googled them and found them. Thanks

I guess I done alright then at £240 - a tad of discount = £200 for an oil service and brake fluid change. A brake fluid change on its own was £80. Not much use to you guys across the pond. That was my local dealer Bavarian.

Hi Mate can I get the number for BM Technika, do you have the guys name? thanks mate!

Also just wanted to know, can most local garages reset the service messages on the computer if I decide to go local to get works done? Futhermore really and truly is it worth maintaning my FBMWSH, at the end of the day over a couple of years you can probably save say a grand against BMWs stupid service prices, when it comes to resale value I would imagine the price reduction for a non FMBWSH car would be less than a grand - if so you're doing better off - just thinking aloud lol.
