Exclamation First pics of E90/E91 facelift (2009 model)!

Facelift E90/91 is due in september 2008 as an 2009 model. First pictures (thanks mortem):

Differences:

- front bumper (different, less edgy/angular shape)
- front air intake incl. fog lights (different shape)
- grille (more rounded)
- headlight graphics (CELIS LED corona rings with DRL function)
- hood (more sculptured)
- side skirt (sharper)
- rear bumper (different "diffusor" lip)
- part of tail lights located on boot lid (different shape / graphics)

Warning: hood, front bumper (incl. air intakes), and part of tail lights located on boot lid are still camoed!

Maybe it's because I have an 07 arriving in Port Hueneme tomorrow, but does anyone else think the back end looks like a 3-year old Passat? (Something about the lights.)

Well, theres obviously tape over the lights on the trunk part. If they left it like that though, it looks very camry-like. Not sporty at all.

So the US version (that one is RHD) will get the amber reflectors inside the headlamp assembly. Aaaargh!

I wonder if there are any cool interior changes planned?

They need to take all that tape off for me to render an opinion. With all the camo it looks pretty ugly, especially the hood and tail lights.

The headlights are exactly like the current E90. The only difference is that the halo-rings on that are the DRL's (daytime running lights) like on the current e92's.

I'm curious about the kidney grilles...its stated they're going to be more rounded. Are they going to look like the e92s, or will they still retain the thicker upper part that's on the hood of the current e90s. My friend is getting ready to ED on a 335 sedan. He hates the e90 grilles though and much prefers the e92 style. So do I. I just want to let him know if there's any changes down the pipe for him to consider.

Not feeling the front bumper. It looks too dainty for this car.

I'm ROFLMAO because #1, the car is camoed and you are commenting on looks that you can't see or won't know what the final production model will look like and #2, everyone was ripping the current E90 when it was first introduced and now you guys think it's the greatest invention since sliced bread.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I'll reserve mine until the official release.

It's like you guys have just seen a sonogram of your expectant baby and you're saying what a cute/ugly little thing it will be.
