Vargas stage 3 turbo upgrade on regular pump fuel

That, in my opinion is a massive leap forward for the n54 platform [ well for 335i owners anyway]

I am looking forward ahead to the next few years.
I did hear somewhere that the n54 will be the equivalent of todays 2jz engine.

There is a lot of potential, we just need to unlock it.

I think it's still too early to say that the Vargas stage 3 is a reliable option. What I do like about it though is that it is just the hardware, and hence you are not tied into a massive commitment with one vendor for meth kits, tuning, exhaust components etc as you are with the v/fftec single turbo.

But now that someone has done the hardwork - i suspect we'll see some cheap Chinese knockoffs coming through...

Lets hope the N54 is the next 2jz engine - our cars may actually be worth something in a few years! Biggest barrier now is the hpfp and there isn't anything on the horizon to fix that... Nevertheless, I'm keeping mine for the foreseeable future.

They are low pressure fuel pumps.

Guys are running these to help with getting enough e85 injected. It's a band aid for stock fuelling issues, if the Vargas turbos want to get over 800hp they need a decent hpfp setup. I've seen some guys looking at port injection to cure this..

Does seem great, a viable alternative to Single turbos (that won't fit RHD) at last!

Best get that full SPEC clutch kit Phil, no point messing with just a clutch upgrade......

Lol

I think a big turbo is the last thing on my mind. But I'll see how you get on and make a decision, i do fancy the Ali fw provided its not too bad to deal with as a daily drive...

Not 100% but I thought I'd read that stage 3 wont fit RHD either, only stage 2.
