Fitting a M3 LSD into a E92 335D

I have been thinking about an LSD for a while now. First choice was to get the Quaife but due to the 335D engineering (somethings welded) this would cost over 2k fitted even when handing back the old LSD.

So recently i was thinking that why not use the M3 LSD instead? I was already planning to change some of the 335D's suspension bits to M3 ones (have read Alpina_b3_lux having some good results doing this).

I know it won't be a straight swap, so could someone please provide me with all the parts needed? Also, does the M3 LSD have any in-cabin electronic adjustments? If so would that need to be incorporated?

Many thanks.

You can't do it because of the wrong ratio in the diff itself. And I'm sure something else physically is not bolt on.

The m3 LSD doesn't have any external adjustment capability. As dM mentioned you may have trouble with the gear ratio unless you re-gear as it is not ideal for our power band. Driveshaft would likely have to be custom as I believe the two cars use different sizes. Track may be slightly different.

Cheers. I guess the quaife is the better option then?

Cheers guys. I guess fitting an M3 one would take too much work and would cost the same as the Quaiffe fitted. But what i don't like with the Quaiffe is that you pay 2k and give back your diff, then get a final drive unit that's not brand new. But i suppose its covered by their warranty so should be ok.
