Have the "tick"...warranty claim?

I purchased my car from a local non-BMW dealer who provided a 90 day/3k warranty. Based on what they gave me in writing It's pretty comprehensive with the engine and drivetrain. It has $100.00 deductible per incident.

I believe I have a slight tick and in reading about the engine tick in the e90 I have seen mixed results from folks who say they've had it repaired both in and out of warranty. Some say it comes back so it's not worth messing with.

My mechanic check of the car prior to purchase was clean. Only one code reset that he could find for a minor thing and passed official BMW diagnostics.

Do you guys think it worth taking this up with the warranty company/dealer or not?

The injectors on the 335s are a bit loud. You might want to listen to another car to confirm if condition is abnormal or not.

I have an '08 328i, not a 335. Should have clarified.

There is a sticky regarding this problem. In the N52 the sound is from your lifters/tappets. There is a TSB but some dealers still refuse to do anything about it. My dealer did nothing about it for my '07 328 and gave me some BS line. It wont hurt to ask. GL.

If they replace the cylinder head, it will not come back.

Open your hood and listen while engine is running. My belt tensioner was making a racket.
