Warranty set to expire, what can be done

My factory 4 year/50k mile warranty is set to expire in the next few months. I'm at about 37k miles and the rear brake indicator shows about 900 miles on it.

Does anyone know what I can expect to be done before my warranty expires? There's some cracking on the front leather seats, and there's a bit of peeling on the steering wheel. Can I expect to get these items fixed before my warranty expires?

Is it possible to get the car CPO'd?

you can't get the car CPO'd but you can buy an extended warranty I believe for 120k miles. and as far as leather cracking that's probably not covered as its wear and tear. Just bring it to an auto detail shop and have the interior detailed or buy some leather care product like leather master for $50 on Amazon. Steering wheel peel is probably the same.

Check with your dealer when you get close to the end, you might get a set of rear pads, if you aren't too far away in miles. Most service depts will cut you a little slack on that one. Are you do for any fluid changes? Again, if it's close, never hurts to ask.

Steering wheel peeling might be covered under warranty, others have had the problem covered. Leather, probably not.

I would recommend a good inspection at an Indy shop and if they find items to repair, go to a dealer with symptoms/complaints that would point to these repairs.

(e.g. dont go to the dealer and say, an Indy shop found these issues)

I believe once the service sensor says service soon (yellow), you can get them done. 900 miles is definitely within that window.

SpartanGA thanks for the tip. The yellow service light definitely comes on. Sounds like I need to call and setup an appointment.

Sort of a thread jack here but what are my options, if any, once CPO expires?

My warranty expired last month and I took it in right before and had several maintenance things done. My leather steering wheel was peeling as well and they replaced it for free.

Apparently the previous owner on my car had the "trim protection package" or something like that....but My Idrive controller was peeling a little and M-sport steering wheel to. The dealer replaced both no questions asked.

BMW goes off a priority value for CBS maintenance:
Brakes < 4000 miles
Oil / Vehicle Check < 2000 miles
Brake Fluid / Cabin Filter 112 days

So rear brakes for sure and anything else you want them to 'check' will be included. I see you have 328 so plugs not needed.

Peeling of plastic trims IS covered under factory warranty but not CPO. Been covered here multiple times and when I went to the dealer to try and get my trim replaced they said if it was factory they could do it but not on a CPO car. Definitely take it in for that. Doubtful that the leather would be covered though. Check all the plastic trims in your car (steering wheel, door handles etc)
