Otherwise, you need to go through your home policy.

They said they didn't see those items in the car and they couldn't do anything about it. She called the cops and they said they couldn't do anything because they can't prove it was them that took her things. Sucks that some tow yards are shady like that. Sorry that happened to you as well
Thats exactly what the cops said to me as well.

I did file a police report. The issue with the cops are that you need to have proof. If you suspect someone, without any sort of proof (preferably a live picture or them taking your stuff), theres not too much they can do. (As per them!)

The body shop has pictures of the car when they received it from the tow yard. Picture shows the radar already missing.

Talked to the tow yard manager and this time he was pretty decent. Said it was strange how fast things went missing but he is 'going to open an investigation". Its not alot but better than " shit happens!"

lets see if anything pans out here!

That sucks man, what I always do is remove my valuauble stuff from the car where ever I let some take my car away, even loose change well if there are quarters, loonies and toonies.

Actually these days TV or Social Media/Forum is your best bet, companies are affraid of the repercussions.
