Viper auto start 08 328xi problem

Just had a viper autostart with smart start installed and everything works fine until the car goes into sleep mode I can open and lock the car with the viper remote but no auto start until I wake the car up using my factory fob by unlocking the car need help please

People normally recommend not getting aftermarket auto start on these cars..Hope you find the answer...good luck

X2, my dealer said not to install anything aftermarket. Particularly remote start. Didn't stop me though.

Yea these cars also take forever to warm up I usually pull off when I get a oil level reading plus I have no warranty anyway lol

Call your installer....there may be a way to program the Viper....

Yes I can unlock and lock with the viper remote while the car is in sleep mode just no auto start I get remote start error /

Yea went back to them four times so I'm going some where else the guy is also certified viper dealer and he will take the system out and put it back in for 200 and I will have a year warranty with him

Wow, that is a long time. In my car it is 5-10 minutes for an oil reading.
