New 2010 335xi Coupe Owner!

It's been tough finding a good 6-speed (seems like they go quickly), but finally nailed one down.

2010, xDrive, Sapphire Black, CPO, Sport/Premium/Comfort/Cold Weather, 32,000 Miles.

I haven't driven a 6sp for about 3 years (had an X5 after owning an e46 330ci and an e90 2006 330i). Just drove it home from the dealership and feels great to be back in a manual. Need to teach wifey now - should be interesting.

Already thinking about mods. The list as it stands now is:

- M Shift Knob (this one - any others I should consider? Worth doing e-brake handle too?)
- Painted Reflectors
- OWM Front Lip
- Possibly Black Mesh Grills & Gloss Black Kidney Grills
- Rear lip (this $59 version?)
- Cobb AP

Am I on the right track?
-Chris

Congrats on the car! I'm on the iPad bimmer app so I can't press on the link but take a look at the performance spoiler, I think it's more aggressive than the regular one and that's what I'm assuming you linked to.

Looks nice! Congrats... I'd say you're on the right track mod-wise... I don't think I'd buy a cheep spoiler, but if it's junk you could always just toss it at that price.... Next mods:

Coilovers
Non-runflat tires

Short shift kit and CDV delete. Coupled with the weighted shift know totally changed how it shifts.

Just read into CDV - thanks for the suggestion (I hadn't heard of it before). I think I'm going to call this "Phase 2". Just ordered the M-Sport shift knob earlier today. I'm worried about teaching my wife to drive the car on a ssk without the CDV.

The CDV does sound like a huge improvement though - probably in 6 months or so.

That's what I'm thinking about the spoiler. Not trying to go super-aggressive. I ordered it this morning. If it's not great looking I'll resell it on ebay or something. It will be interesting to see how well they match the sapphire black metallic.

I like the non-runflat tire idea. Think I could hook something good up for the summer (tires+rims) and keep the all-season runflats for the winter.

That's what I'm most excited about.

Anything I need to know? I've been reading, and it seems pretty simple. Is buying a used one okay (assuming it's been unmarried) or should it be new?

i purchased mine from cobb tuning, but i guess you could buy a used one, as long the previous owner uninstalled it, some people on the forum may be selling theirs, honestly i think its worth every penny, super user friendly and quick install, suggest to check out cobbtuning.com. im in canada and they shipped verry promptly, have fun modding your car

Definitely. Hadn't even owned the car for 24 hours when I got my first comment. Kindly asked a valet if I could park the car myself. He obliged and responded with "Beautiful car man!!"

A comment like that always makes you feel good.

Cool, thanks for the info. I might purchase mine new as well. Wouldn't want anything to go drastically wrong when monkeying with the car's computer.
