Whats hanging under car and how to fix it?

I have bad luck. I saw this BEEEEAUTIFUL girl like in her 20's, really tall like 5'10 - 6' curly long blonde with tan and toned beach body in short shorts and tank top walking at the mall's parking lot. She was walking towards the mall and I was distracted by her and not paying attention I went over a speed bump hard. She turned around probably wondering what that noise was I looked like an idiot. Anyways do you guys know what that thing hanging under my car is and will it be expensive (hope its cheaper than $200) to fix. 2006 325i sedan.

Looks like a piece of the skid plate. I can't identify it in silhouette very well.

Speed bumps break the skid plates all the time, or rip out one or two screws which are holding up a side of it. Looks like that to me.

Yea looks like the rear splash shield. And whomever painted your front bumper was really lazy. Not only did they not take it off to paint it (20 min job) but they didn't even bother to tape it off either. Wowsers!

Thanks. I was unaware of that. I bought the car used recently from Carmax. Should I get that tape off fix at a bmw dealer?

Lmao. Pics of her or it didn't happen. Oh man

Yup the front bumper was previously reprinted the lazy way man. You can swing by any body shop and if they don't have time to do it for you or want too much ask them if you can buy some of their paint reducer and it will take it off. Just stay away from the bumper w it. Good weekend project. If you really want to get crazy take the bumper off and do it the right way. I'm sure there's loads of overspray everywhere.

There is a small removable panel on the left side that covers part of the trans tunnel gap next to the transmission. It is held in place near the transmission by a metal bracket that slots into a hole in the panel (you unbolt the panel and rotate to remove it). It looks like to tore the panel off the bracket.
