my front plate solution for m3 rep front

pretty simple, used the tinier grill slots in the mesh at the top. turned out to fit perfectly snug so slides in and out but is snug.

Parts ( all from home depot ):
2 L-shaped metal bars, rubber circle bumpy thingies, and a 5 min epoxy(supposedly holds 3300 lbs so i am not worrying there.)
cost=about 10 bucks

juts did an 800 mile high speed drive from chicago to nyc, no issues

It would look like crap to take it off with those bars there and you exposed it. That will take off paint....hmm

Have you read up on Tow hook plate?

think he meant it would scratch up the paint, dont think he saw the bumpers.
that or he doesnt realize the bars slide out and arent locked in.

So is it mounted by sliding the bracket through the mesh? Interesting!

3m molding tape and bend the plate to conform to the cuurve of the bumper. Nice effort, but yours looks odd being so low.

Creative solution - I like it! I know you said it 's a snug fit, but are you worried at all about it falling off while driving?

i still think towhook would be the best solution, but more expensive.

Epoxy seems a little extreme and permanent. Though it looks pretty good! If you're happy that's all that matters. just try not to park in a situation where somonemight back up into your car. I would be afraid if someone hit it your front end;the bracket and epoxy would take a chunk out the paint and fall off. How close is it to the bumper?

Why not just use 3m double sided tape? That stuff really sticks if applied correctly...

Nice and cheaper than my solution (from Skene Design). Similar in concept,
except the Skene Design brakets bolts in on the underneath:

its the angle of the pic there was a car in front of me, looks pretty good actually, will try to post a better pic

i actually could have had it lined up higher but it looks really good at that level when not at this awkward angle

i actually tested it significantly yesterday did not shake loose one bit i am happy to say, the snugness was meant for while driving, know im never gonna get nor want to get into the habit of taking it off and putting it back on. will probably try to add a locking pin though for fun though im pretty sure its not needed.

i considered that, like the centered look will update with a better pic tomorrow(maybe). if you look there are clear rubber bumpers on all the surfaces which make contact with the paint, in case someone does make contact (always park like an ass though).
