OEM Blacklines question

I had the inner driver-side taillight go out on my blacklines.

I picked up the OEM bulbs (7528) but when i went to put them in, they didn't fit. i checked the bulbs that were installed and saw they were "GE 1057"... checked the parts store, and they don't carry "1057" bulbs...

anyone else have this problem?

also: i checked the bulb that was malfunctioning and it seemed fine. i switched it out with another known working bulb and it's still out. any thoughts? i read that the socket holder could go bad, but has anyone else had experience with that?

thanks all

PS - i did ask this same question in the lighting forums, but there's very little traffic through there compared to here.
