Arrow FK Coils...

Im really wanting to order some FK Silverlines but I cant decide if I should spend more for the adjustable damping or buy the fixed damping.
Can anyone with the FKs give me some kind of opinion as to whether the fixed damping is too stiff or too soft?

I have already read and replied to every coil thread on here and I saw no comparison between the two.

Thanks.

I've had both + KWv2's. The fixed FK's provided a good ride that was firm, but still comfortable. I was dropped pretty low on them and it was decent with no passengers in the back. But, when I did have passengers, it was not a great ride for them..for some reason, they were a bouncy and harsh. I'm not sure whether it was my ride height or what, but I just moved on to the adjustable FKs to see if that would work better for me. The adjustables were great, no complaints. I moved on to KWv2's (used) after having the FK's for a little b/c I got a good deal and FK's have some questionable reliability (the shock on my non-adjustable FK front blew after 30k mi.).

Thanks for the reply.

What do you think caused the blow?

Can some people chime in with how many miles they have on their FK coils?

I really dont mind a super stiff ride but I dont want it to be bouncy. I rarely ever have more than one passenger other than my dog in the car so the backs dont bother me that much. Also is there any kind of camber adjustability with the FKs or should i buy plates? Im not looking to hellaflush but Id like some adjustability in that respect.

Blistiens would be sweet...

I have no idea what caused them to blow, but there are a couple reports on here of FK's blowing. I do know it's tough to get them to do anything with the warranty -- FK passes you off to the merchant -- merchant passes you back to FK and, in the end, there's no resolution. I tried that route first, but after the runaround, I didn't want to waste time trying to get a warranty resolution.
FWIW, if I were you, I would save up a and just go with Bilsteins or KW where at least you have some reliability from the warranty perspective.

Btw. the ride wasn't crazy bouncy or anything on the non-adjustables, it was just a bit much for my liking.

If you want to get FK, please get the ones with adjustable dampening. Those come with Koni shocks, you will thank you your self later...

So the Adjustable damping FKs have koni shocks? Just in the rear or up front as well? That's much better news. I'm also interested in the ISCs and the Sonic Tuning S3s. Anyone ever used ISCs? They're getting a warm welcome in the e36 community. No E90 people to be spoken of yet that I can find.

(I'm so tired of generic suspension pictures showing the base model for a WRX as the only picture you can see. It makes it extremely difficult to make any kind of decision.)
