Happy birthday! Mine was on the 8th, but I'm a tad bit younger than you. ...I didn't get anything cool like your Jelly Belly's!!! Although my husband said my 335 Convertible counted as my present, so I guess it worked out for me in the end.

One day's difference. So you grew up being one of the oldest in the year as well. I don't care about the numbers anymore. I don't look it, don't feel it and sure as hell don't act it.

What guitar is it ?

Can't see the pics.

I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard in Sunburst finish:

And a Tanglewood TW15 solid top / solid body acoustic:

I also just bought a Marshall Valvestate VS65R on ebay:

Been playing for years and I'm still rubbish though. I need lessons.

just grabbed a few pix

Well this is the best playing guitar I have owned and I have had plenty...very different from my beloved Gibson ES355 shown below (hence Red355)

Its a PaulReedSmith McCartybut not any old PRS ..
its a Private Stock with gold lines Paua birds and binding. Plus a rosewood neck like the Modern eagles (much smoother than the other RW necks i have had)

Bought used from the US of A for a right steal due to them struggling to make ends meet and the $2 for £1 deal

Its Mateo Blue which sort of matches the Montego blue of the 335D

Beautiful! :rocks:

Our guitar player is getting married in Florida. He's also going to collect a PRS and then head to Miami for a tattoo at Miami Ink, (as featured on TV)! He currently owns various guitars...Gibson Les Paul, SG, Fender strat, Jackson, etc etc.

This one came from Florida..tell him to wtach out as there are plenty of ropey looking ones in the stores now that PRS produce 20,000 (plus the korean SE models) a year ! they can't get the quality of wood they used to pride themselves on. some stinking great deals on used guitars, more than 50% lower than Uk prices.

Two very nice guitars .. quite a bit more serious than my 'low rent' copies.

Don't hold onto it for too long if you really want to play.

My first guitar was a mail order £70 generic deal. I kept it for years. It was only after I got a 'proper' guitar that I realised how apalling it was.

I got mine from here:

http://www.guitars.co.uk/acatalog/Ep...vice_FREE.html

http://www.guitars.co.uk/acatalog/Ta...od_TW15NS.html

Great prices and they set the guitars up really well. Good action and finish.

+1 on that...seen many a person get the £149 kit includes guitar, amp , strap, plectrum and chord book in a box...then give up.

I tried to play my mates cheapo strat copy ...dam near impossible and amp made it sound like a wasp in a jam jar when the distortion button was introduced.

Each use of the trem sent it out of tune.

No fun = give up

Exactly - my first guitar went out of tune if you used the trem. It also went out of tune everytime you put it down.

The only positive aspect of this was that I soon learned how to tune it up quickly.
