PPK + CPE catless Inquiry

Hey all,

Right now my current set up is
2011 BMW 335 xdrive PPK stage 2 (catback exhaust, cooling, software)
BMS open air intake
BMS Oil Catch Can
CP-E 5" catless downpipe
CP-E Chargepipe

The downpipe was just installed, and I have yet to trigger an emissions related engine light (only ~20km driven). I am prepared to either fool the secondary oxygen sensor with a special fitting OR I will get a COBB AP unit (easiest solution is desirable)

When should I expect the engine light to come on? Is it even worth the risk to get a JB4 just to bypass secondary oxygen sensor or am I ok with the sensor fix or COBB AP. I am so happy with the power and responsiveness right now that I do not plan any other engine tunes in the near future.

Anything will help as I want to know everything about my car. Thank you!

I have tried to search but I prefer a specific diagnosis

Yeah, when you fool the ECU with that "special fitting" don't forget to make 500 extra copies to sell on this forum. There is no such device so unless you are some kind of programmer/electrical engineer/genius I think you are going to be looking at a CEL. It will come on in a few more km. Sometimes it takes a cold start or three to get it to go on. Cobb will turn it off but the readiness code is still stored.

ill pay $100-$200 for a DP fix (n55)... just don't spend to much time developing one, you might just commit

ha i am an electrical engineer but far from genius and fairly new to the N55.

Thanks for the replies! I will do what I can to address this problem without throwing $1000 on a new COBB; I'd rather put that towards new rubber.

I just can't get myself to trust an after market computer..

I have driven about 50km since tune, and still no CEL...

SOUND:
Its really fucking loud! It rumbles burps farts crackles pops when cruising.
On full throttle it screams, and when driving "spirited" you can hear/feel exactly what rpm you are in all the time

PERFORMANCE:
I have noticed a very big difference in powerband. Turbo lag has definitely been reduced (I also have an intake and chargepipe), and responsiveness is very sharp. I am not going to get a chip since I am very happy with the power/torque. Any more, and it would be unusable!

If you want somthing warmer I wouldnt suggest a 5" catless since its very metalic and hollow sounding (i love it though)

I have the AR DP and it fit like a glove, installation was about 2 hours... the sound is exactly what I wanted... crisp/loud and refine raspy sound..

by the way OP you need to upgrade your FMIC. An ER FMIC or Helix would do the trick...

AR dp was my first choice but the burger went on sale

What kind of realistic changes will I see with the intercooler upgrade?
