I have a 2009 335i coupe with Cobb, a filter, Scoops, and a cat-back HPF exhaust.
I have catless downpipes, just not in yet.
I also plan to get a FMIC and run FBO on California 91 octane. Occasionally running maybe a mix of race gas or E85 with pump gas.

I would run straight E85 if we weren't limited by the HPFP. :/

My main concern is that going FBO won't be safe as a daily driver. I don't want to crack a charge pipe, blow a turbo, or anything else to go wrong.
I know that guys run meth and E85 and track their car and it's ok.
But is it really safe to run Cobb stage 2+ daily.
Also, is getting a protune noticeable performance wise from the On the shelf maps?

And what is the DME? I'm new to cars and modding them.
Thanks!

Maxspeed: Just get PTF to do a low pressure tune for you with reliability in mind. It's definitely worth it.

Tracking your car is much harder on it than daily driving. Think about it, throughout the course of a day, how often are you actually going full throttle? Many days probably never. On a track, multiple times in a race. Even if you aren't full throttle, track life is still harder on car that your commute to work.

People have been running tunes in these cars your years with no problems.
