In the case of the n54, a single is much more responsive/less lag than an equivalently sized twin. There is just too much packaging compromise with fitting two big turbos in there. Also the smallish frame turbos on the twin setup aren't nearly as happy as a big single in running the high pressure ratios needed for big power (600+whp).
Judging by Tony's newest dyno (not stretched 60' by 6") your point isn't completely accurate.

You should pay attention to the figures rather than the shape of the dyno which could fool you easily. If you look at the figures on the latest Vargas dyno rather than the shape, you should see that it spools SLOW. Compare it to the latest VFF dyno figures (not how the graph looks) and you will see it spools QUICKER.

People should be looking at efficiency rather than dyno number.

All I know is this, Shiv I will break your track ET, and it will be done with less power, and possibly in FULL street trim.
Congrats, you will do it with an automatic. No skill needed.

Well it can only be shiv at this point since tony is simply manufacturing the turbos now and will have nothing to do with tuning or testing limits. Pointless question is pointless.

I am just amazed that we are at 700whp and going!! On an aluminum block!! Props to the BMW engine developers!! And props to both Vishnu and Vargas.

I do find all the ego in the tuning scene saddening. We're all doing this stuff bc we love tinkering with these things. Competition is ok but good sportsmanship and professionalism speaks volumes about your character
