Wind noise from pillar

I have a wind noise, a sort of buffering, not a whistle, coming from the drivers side pillar on my E92, it usually starts at about 60-70 mph. I have a good look round and cannot see where it would be coming from, any idea's?

Garage List
I would suspect the interface between the base of the windscreen and the plastic scuttle that runs underneath. Try putting black PVC tape along the join at the base of the screen.

Maybe a hole in the screen bonding. Had that once.
New screen and it vanished so that was pretty conclusive!

I had the same problem. Mine was a rattle/wind noise at motorway speeds coming from the drivers side front pillar. The cause was the floating joint where the plastic front wing attaches to the car. Just tightened the nut and bolt and no more rattle. Bit tricky to access though.

What speakers do you have? It can be worthwhile to pack the tweeter triangle with foam of some kind as that's usually where the noises rushes in from. Not sorting the root cause but blocking it before it get's to you.

If you have standard or hifi though, this is already done (the blank has foam in it anyway: Which stands to reason BMW know about this one ..
