Hi-Fi Loudspeaker Package - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Dear all,
Ready to place an order for a new 320i, but not yet decide if I should add the Hi-Fi Loudspeaker package (10 speakers). From the catalogue, it specified there are only 6 speakers in the standard system (4 tweeters and 2 woofers??) No woofers at the back??
Does anyone know where these 6 speakers are? And for the 10 speakers package, where do they install??
Worth to add this option?? Appreciated any comments, especially from those who have received your new 3 with/without the Hi-Fi loudspeaker system. Thanks!!

Are you referring to the HK price/spec list or the euro catalogue? HK spec cars are better equipped.

Oh and btw, if you are ever going to get the upgraded audio, don't get the loudspeaker system. Instead, get the Logic 7. Much better quality. Search and you will find a lot of reviews on here.

I have got the HK 320i spec. and it did not have the Hi-Fi Loundspeaker option as in 325i/330i. Your 330i should have 10 speakers then. I am wondering if I should order this option and I have not asked the price so far. My current 1998 318i has the Hi-Fi speaker options but I finally replace all 10 speakers. Since 320i have only 6 standard speakers and I wonder how easy I can replace them all. Yes, I know Logic 7 is good but I am a budget buyer and cannot afford too much on a new car la!! Any comments on the standrd 6 speakers system are welcomed.

I guess you have to go to the dealer and try both the 6-speaker and the 10-speaker option then. Or maybe you can add aftermarket audio/ICE?

oh the subs are under the front two seats!!!

If the subs are under the two front seats, are these considered as front L/R channel speakers or rear channel L/R speakers under the volume control? I know it should be a 4 channels system, just wonder how these 6 speakers are connected to the 4 channels? Confused.

I have seen some E90 real pictures in this forum, some of them have speakers on the rear doors, while some of them have not. I am not sure which is which. Is the 6-speakers system having 2 subs under the front seats and 4 tweeters on each door; i.e. no speakers installed at the back of the rear seat?? Anyone who have received their new E90 with the standard 6 speakers system can confirm? Thks!!

sry i was reading the info thing from here and the one bmw sent me and it showed that the and in the pic it showed the subs under the seats!!! and it points it out!
