Can you provide the campaign number or a scan of the service sheet?

What is the SI number? For example, my last recall was the SI B13 04 12, entitled "Program Control Units (OBD)".

Do you have any more info about it such as under what conditions the torque is being limited?

Yes it will, I have a JBD so it didn't affect my tune.

They won't contact you because it is not a recall. It is only a campaign. That's what BMW Canada told me, if you call your SA they can check to see if you have any outstanding campaigns.

I haven't noticed any difference in either mileage or performance. However right after that I installed the JBD and that increased the performance itself and strangely then I got my second best mileage for a tank. Not a very controlled experiment I would say.

Is there a way of determining if the update has been applied to our cars without visiting the dealer?

Mine is sitting at the factory setting of 60%. You know, with the torque our vehicles has without a tune or piggyback, it is funny that we keep wanting more. Most of it goes unused most of the time. But it sure is nice when you want to nail it.
