How to remove dome light cluster?

I'm converting my dome lights to LED panels, and I ran into a problem. The rear light box thing (I guess you'd call it a light cluster?) came off without any issue, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to remove the front one. I've tried everything I'm comfortable doing without fear of breaking it. Anyone who can explain to me how to remove this, it would be greatly appreciated. A picture or diagram would help the most.

Hey
When I changed mine a couple of years ago I used this DIY
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=273231.

However with experience I found it that it so much easier to just pull the front piece behind the mirror and look for the clips to push them out.
Good luck bro,

Yeah, that's a tough piece to remove. Getting a plastic trim removal tool blade into the windshield side to release the tabs holding it in was the only way I could get I off.

Not sure if it's different than my e92 but, there's a clip that hold your sun visors in place on both the driver side and the passenger side. If you unscrew them the interior roof drops down enough for you to easily reach behind your rear view mirror to pop the clips holding the cluster in place.
