Anyone regret getting the CDV Mod done?

I've seen alot of positive posts about the cdv mod, but in some cases people have posted that they did not notice any difference. Anyone here regret getting it done because the shift action got worse rather than better?

Glad to hear. I pick up my car today so I'll try it out for a few days stock and then decide. I already have the modified cdv at home. Should I wait until break-in is over?

Thumbs up NO REGRETS

Best mod I've done so far. It will give you a much more natural clutch feel.

Get rid of the damned CDV!!! Don't ask silly questions.

The CDV is the Clutch Delay Valve. It is there to minimize stress to the drivetrain by increasing the engagement time of the clutch. Pretty much prevents you from popping the clutch. It's mainly to keep warranty costs down for BMW. If you are a capable clutchmen (new word), then the CDV is an evil thing that most be exorcised with all due haste. If you can't drive a stick, you suck... just kidding, but really, you suck.

I got mine removed when I had the LSD installed and I enjoy having the thing gone from my machine.

I totally regret taking my CDV out. Now my car shifts are smooth and crisp. I totally miss my jerky shifts and making my passengers feel nauseous.

Was worth every ounce of brake fluid I got in my eyes, on my clothes, in my mouth, etc etc etc. Shifting felt crisper immediately and now I can really row though the gears without bucking the car.

Minor quibble: it only increases the engagement time, not the disengagement time.

I found it particularly weird feeling when engine braking in the mountains.

Drove the car yesterday and today and didn't seem overly-jerky. I'll have it done anyway, but do I need to wait until after break-in?

The only reason why you would regret doing this mod is if you really didn't know how to dive a manual.
The CDV mod is seriously one of the best and easiest things you can do to a manual trans.
