PE tips

I just got my new performance exhaust installed and it sounds awesome.

Question: how far are the tips supposed to stick out?

I had a muffler shop install it for me and it seems to be lined up well in the cut-out area but the tips come out from the back more than I expected. I'll try to post a pic this afternoon.

the PE tips on my my 335 stick out too much too. I haven't taken the time to find out how to have it fixed but would like to know if theres a quick way to fix.

you should be able to adjust it somewhat by loosening the clamps and pushing it in and tightening back down. as long as the shop didnt cut the mid section to far out. (closer towards the rear). My tips sit nice and flush with the bumper.

The problem I had was the opposite. The PE tips were sunken in. I think during install they cut to much mid section causing the tips not to come out far enough. Solved by cutting off those horrible PE tips and having some Dimisa tips put on exactly where I wanted them.

I'll snap a pic and post it up tonight but I am afraid they didn't take quite enough off at the midpipe. The diagram posted above shows them sticking out more than the stock tips did and they don't stick out past a vertical line down from the back bumper...

I think I'll just leave them...they are a bit more noticeable that way.

LOVE the sound...it makes me want to get a 3 stage intake and tune to improve performance.

posted videos do not do the sound justice...really sounds great when you are on it and is perfectly quiet while cruising.

I just got my PE installed yesterday and mine looks about the same. I think that looks fine though, on both of your cars, Rollo and Soldado331. If you want it more flush with the bumper I guess that's a personal pref thing but imo it's nice as is.
