Confused. Kw Coilover or shocks+spring

So after almost month of searching and reading endless threads
I now need your help
It so difficult to pick mod to our cars because there is a lot of option and that's killing me
My e92 335 has 90k km on it

And stock suspension become softy... And I don't like the rolling of the car
I don't track my car , and this car is my daily car, driving fast...
I'm on 18" wheels now after one year suffering on 19"
And looking for comfort riding , fast cornering , I don't want lower the car .

This is my options
Can someone can advise
Kw street comfort - $1500

H&R Touring Cup Kit : $765

Eibach Pro System + : $1200
Eibach Plus Lit : $600

Bilstein B12 Kit : $1000

Bilstein b14 kit : $1300

Thanks !!!

KW street comfort does improve ride quality and handling more so than any of my previous shock/spring combos. Can't comment on any of those other susp you listed.

I'm in a similar situation and just want a firm, but compliant ride for my DD. I was thinking about coil overs at first, but now I'm leaning toward either the H&R Cup Kit you mentioned or Koni Yellow struts/shocks with a not so low spring set.
I'll subscribe and see what kind if input you get here too.

If you don't want to lower the car don't change the springs. Put some KONI shocks on there and get a front sway bar. It will reduce roll by a large amount, bring back the ride quality and handle better than stock. Coil overs for someone who wants a comfortable ride and stock height is not at all right.

If not lowering your car is your main concern, then body roll and fast cornering shouldn't be considered either. Lowering your car lower the center of gravity ------> better cornering and less body roll.

If you want to retain your stock height, consider maybe swapping out your shocks only with Koni yellow or Bilstein. BMW performance suspension is another great OE upgrade. Eibach + Koni FSD seems to offer better handling (firmer ride) with minimal drop. Lots of forum people go with H&R sports springs + Koni yellows and are very satisfied with the drop and ride comfort (me included).

As for coilovers, one of the most popular ones are ST, which is basically KW V1 but in galvanized body instead of the stainless steel ones. I have heard great reviews on those and best ban for your buck. If you want to be able to dial in your damping, then KW V2/KW V3/Bilstein PSS9/Bilstein PSS10/Koni sports S/A coils are some of the ones that came to my mind at the moment.

BTW H&R touring cup kit is just H&R sport springs + matching shocks, and last I checked that's only available for E90. I could be wrong though....

It's ok to lower the car
But a bit is enough for me not to much....only what I have to because its easy to handle on street driving when I'm on the stock suspension
Maybe I will check the h&r and koni
What is the difference between yelloew to fsd?
And which spring to go eibach/h&r
Also what about the strut bars?

I don't know the exact difference but I think FSD pairs better with either stock springs or springs that drop rides little (ie. Eibach pro). Koni yellows can handle more "heavy duty" lowering springs (ie. H&R sprots/race or Tein).

Forget struct bars IMO. If you want true handling upgrades, go with M3 front and rear sways, or aftermarket brands like Hotchkis, H&R, Eibach and Cobb all have sways available for E9x applications.

For springs, you can also consider Dinan or BMW Performance Yellow springs (check getbmwparts.com), which both drops are not too much IMO.

Might have a set of H&R sport springs and Koni yellows up for sale within the week for E90's. Less than 3,000 miles on them.

I had the same dilema and settled on eibach pro street s for about $1100 delivered to Australia. Coilovers quality but softer springs with a minimal drop if required.

I'll have mine fitted in two weeks and will report in.

I am interested in this set up too. I would be curious to see what you think about them once you get them installed.

I'm considering BC's too. What's your opinion on them?
