Honestly it looked like some sort of mutant with super human strength shoved his clawed hands into the metal of that door.

Yep, took me an hour my first try to get a bmw airbag off the wheel. They've done it before. I wouldn't know what to do if this happened. I hope insurance covers it.

those are some pretty specific parts that take time to remove. either some super brave thief that drives the same car as you or somehing fishy is going on.

Im surprised they left the wheels. Those ones look like they'd sell for quite a bit. And at that point I'm also surprised they didn't take the seats too while they were at it.

This is just fucked.

Yup, they should have taken the bumper too. I wonder why?

Those are definitely pros. They knew what they were doing. Keep an eye out on Craigslist and eBay. It'll be hard to track individual parts because there isn't any serial numbers on most of those parts. But if you start noticing that seller has many of the parts that were stolen it could be a lead.

If it's on eBay, eBay works with police departments. Make sure the officer fills in a request for further information. eBay will provide a lot more information about the seller than the public will ever see.

Unfortunately you'll have to do your own leg work online to give direction to the police.

Good luck.

Where the F do you live that this could happen to the car while park out front of your house.

I expect this kind of thing in NYC or Philadelphia. In Philly once I watch a pair of guys jack up a car and remove the tires. This all happen to a parked car while I was stopped at a red light, and it was broad daylight.

1. He's got easily sellable wheels...still on the car, doesn't even look like they scratched it or tried to get it off...

2. They took the side mirrors, but not the homelink rear view that can be sold for more?

3. The shift knob is still there.

4. The cluster is still there.

5. The ebrake knob, still there.

6. The center console idrive knob, still there.

7. Glove box..not opened.

8. Where are the wiring harnesses for the headlight? Did they cut them inside of the engine bay?

9. It takes me about an hour to get out the damn airbox...yet they removed it, without removing the upper cowl AND all clamps? lol WAT?

10. Steering wheel paddle shifters -- there's one nut holding the wheel on...

11.The grilles? Why'd they leave the grilles on the front bumper??

12. Looks like the front bumper wasn't ripped off -- why would they rip off the door and then unscrew the front bumper and the splash guard...

13. Doesn't even look like they looked in the center console...

14. Visors? did they snatch that?

Also looks like theres not many fingerprints anywhere...

A professional wouldn't touch that car..they would flatbed it and junk it.

Just my .02

Also theres a window right there...right next to the tree. I'm POSITIVE unless you're high on meth that you'd hear anything going on outside those windows.
