Parcel Monkey

Has anyone use Parcel Monkey to send parcels on here? I used them for the first time yesterday and i'm not impressed!

As some of you might be aware i organised a group buy for some members on here for some EBC brake pads, and booked the parcels yesterday for them to be collected today. I wasted the whole day staying at home (well i did get some other things done but that's not the point) and its now 6.30pm and no sign of anyone coming for the parcels!!

Well cheesed off. I know its not the end of the world but if they agree a collection day then they should really turn up. I've raised a "ticket" on their website requesting a full refund as suprise suprise there's no phone number!

Has anyone else used them and had similar experiences? I only used them as they were one of the firms recommended.

Send a message via MSN to MEGA
+1 on Parcel2Go and I've heard many bad reviews about parcelmonkey before!

For example:

http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/w...elmonkey.co.uk

So yeah...

1. Why didn't you google?
2. Good luck with that refund

Wow didn't realise it was that bad. I didn't google them because parcel monkey was recommended by 2 members on here! Thought it would be fine. Reading some of those reviews it might be a pickle to get that refund

Anyways on the plus side i hand delivered 2 packages just now (they were kind of on my route) and experienced some nice A roads! Might use parcel2go for the remaining people now.

Glad this has been posted as I recently registered with Parcel-Monkey although haven't used them as yet.

Will try Parcels2go instead.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately I also suffered the same way with this company.

I have used parcel2go a lot and I can't recall ever having any issues with them. I can also recommend interparcel.

Also like to add that the worst experience i've had regarding couriers has been via parcels2go or to be more specific Yodel, on 2 occasions I chose UPS and Yodel turned up and fucked up.

I use P4d now. Have been using them a while and so far so good. Will never use parcels2go as long as they are in with that shower of shite Yodel.

an alternative to Parcel2go is www.interparcel.com

their "interparcel Economy" uses UPS, they offer same day collection and their prices are excellent for premium UPS service.

i have had problems with the likes of Yodel, DHL, City Link and MyHermes, so now i only use UPS via Interparcel, as they actually know what they are doing and always turn up when they say they will.

Yodel are by far the worse I've ever dealt with.

When I ordered my brakes from ECP it turned into a farce.

Apparently they attempted to deliver twice and left notes. No they never as I was in and there was no notes either.

Next time they just left the boxes outside my old flat.

Ordered tyres off ebay a few months back. Yodel just left them in another flat's hallway and no mention to me where they had been left.

The other flats were around the corner from me and luckily someone that stayed there did the decent thing and came round to tell me or I'd never have known.

The tyres were then returned and they were crap. Again two failed attempts to collect that they disputed.

It was from my work and as soon as I mentioned that there is cameras and security they admitted they might have made a mistake.

They lost other stuff I've had from ebay too.

There isn't a reliable courier out there that I've come across. All of them are especially difficult to contact or deal with.

My experience was the complete opposite.

When I sold my car and sold off all the parts,Parcelmonkey were the courier service I used to deliver everything that was sold.

I found their service very reliable, and have used them again only recently, and the service was 100%.

Sorry you had a problem Mob, I suspect I might well have been someone who recommended them to you.

No worries you weren't to know! Plus someone else also suggested them. But no harm done, they sent me a message back to say if i could confirm the cancellation then they could process my refund. Hopefully that won't take too long!

Maybe its a regional thing with parcel monkey? I used interparcel for one of the international shipments, and the guy from UPS was over in 15 mins! Said he just saw it pop up and was on his lunch break! Don't think i've heard a bad thing about interparcel so far?

As someone who has worked for a national courier during my student days a few years ago,I have taken the brunt of customers' dissatisfaction over the phone and I can tell you one thing for sure, some drivers are just lazy c**ts. Unfortunately it doesn't take much to employ any so an so and therefore you won't get the professionalism from some.ive had people sit at the window 7am-7pm and yet "apparently" a driver has attempted...

I've had problems with Parcel Monkey in the past and most recently Interparcel (had used Interparcel quite a lot previously).

I now use P4D and have an account with UPS.

I use Parcel Monkey & Interparcel all the time and rarely have a problem-remember these boys are just brokers and you pick which courier you use depending on the package weight and dimensions and then price.
As said UPS are the best through Interparcel-think they have a 100% success rate with me!
In future you're best contacting the courier direct and give them down the banks rather than arsing about with parcelmonkey email crap system!
Apologies but I may be the other guilty party recommending them!!

The actual courier turned up yesterday and left the mailing bags. I wasn't in. The courier's name was DX. Maybe these are the guys causing the issues and not parcel monkey?

More than likely-I think Parcel Monkey simply take the money and book your collection with whoever. The only thing I don't like with Parcel Monkey is the lack of phone no. At least with Interparcel you can speak to someone.

Another recommendation for parcel2go.

I've used them to send all sorts from wheels to stereos and not had an issue yet.

I do however always choose TNT as my courier though who I have to say are very good. Whenever I have had items delivered by City Link or Parcelfarce I have always had issues whether it being late delivery or damage to the item.
