Rear heater lines broken due to tinted windows

Just got my windows tinted a couple of days ago and noticed that the heater lines on the rear wind screen have been broken and is effecting the heating. Has any one else ever had this problem?
Thanks

Did you have tints before?
Were they working fine before tinting?

When the inside glass was cleaned they may have pressed too hard cleaning?

They were well known tinting place and have done many BMW's before and it was all working fine before the tints because now the lines are broken, so i think it is stopping current getting through

I'd be surprised if applying an adhesive film to the window had broken the heater wires. Is it possible they removed some trim while working, and have disconnected or broken something when putting it back together?

Does any one know what is the best way going about repairing the broken lines? I think you can touch up the lines with some type of repair kit but will have to take the rear tint of before doing this.

Ate you sure they're broken? Compare your rear screen to another e90 to check

Yh they are 100% broken because it is only heating below where the lines are broken. You can actually see the lines are broken as bits are missing from the line.

If you're 100% it wasn't broken before the tinting, take it back to whoever did it. They'll have liability insurance if nothing else - if they broke it, it's their responsibility to fix it.

If it's just a coincidence that you've noticed now, then it's more tricky.

Yes, you can buy a repair kit.
Yes, they work well.
Yes, you'll have you remove the tint film to do the repair.
Yes, you'll have to pay someone to put the tint back on when it's sorted.

The repair paint may have improved since I used it some years ago, but I found it very difficult to get the heated window looking right & I had to touch it up occasionally, so I'd be reluctant to tint over it

I've only ever seen them damaged when removing tint film, but its got to be obvious its been done while they were fitting them if they were fine before.
I'd definitely go back and see what they say
