A Proper Introduction After Her 1st Bath

I just wanted to introduce myself as a new owner of my first E90 325i (previously owned an E36 325i). We gave her a first bath and clay yesterday.

2006 BMW 325i | Arktis Metallic | Premium + Sport Package | 6spd Manual | 78,000 mi

First Mods: 20% tint and air freshner!

I use this as my DD but plan on keeping it for a long long time. I've decided to do oil changes every 5k miles. The only issue I had after 2 weeks was it started overheating so I had the water pump, t-stat replaced and coolant flushed...extended warranty FTW!! Other than that it runs great, shifts smooth, and solid as a rock.

I can't get access to the mainenance records due to privacy laws, so this is what I plan on doing at 80k, please let me know if you'd suggest anything else (my driving conditions here in San Diego are good):

- Oil Change (Castrol Edge w/Syntec 0W-30)
- Rear Differential Flush (Castrol or Royal Purple 75W-90??)
- Manual Tranny Flush (Royal Purple Synchromax, Redline MTF, or BMW LT-3??)
- Replace Air Filter (K&N) + Charcoal Filter Delete
- Replace Cabin Filter + Cabin Clean & Disinfect
- Replace Spark Plugs (Bosch FR7NPP332)
- Replace the Shift Bearing
- Possibly a Power Steering Flush (Pentosin CHF 11S), I'll need to visually inspect fluid
- Should I replace the fuel filter for preventative purposes??
- Anything else??

Anyways I'm excited to be a part of the E90 community!! Thanks in advance for any feedback...

Very clean looking car. Welcome and enjoy!

Anyone want to pipe in about the privacy laws for maintenance history? I can understand not giving out previous owners info but info about the car would be helpful.

Congrats on the car!

I think I read somewhere in the forums that the charcoal filter delete isn't a good idea. I doubt it will get you much performance gains anyway.

I removed the charcoal filter on my 06 525i when I first bought it. No issues what so ever. Slapped in a K&N filter and it drove great. Had it like that for 2 years no problems at all.

OP - Congrats on your E90! Nice color!

Thanks guys....

Yea I've been reading the various threads about the charcoal delete, I think i'm going to do it expecting little improvement...although I know it's not going to be as significant as a full intake mod w/scoops, etc. I have to change the filter anyways so I might as well have fun with this little mod.

But I'll try calling the DS again to see if they can print out the history and just omit the original owner's personal information, or at least just show me the last time it was serviced and what was performed...
