335I SuperChips Bluefin

Hi all,

Anyone with any experience with these? They're a handheld remapping device with the ability to switch maps between stock & tuned, apparently delete error codes too. I'm most worried about invalidating my warranty, I wondered if anyone could confirm if switching back to stock and deleting the codes was undetectable at a dealership?

Thanks

My experiences with Bluefin are generally good but the unit only deletes most of the error codes created by the reflashing back to standard - not all.

I used my Bluefin on a 320d and it erased all the main ECU error codes but not those created in the ABS or Auto gearbox ECU's.

FWIW I checked this with a 7000 Bosch diagnostics computer I have access to. I used this to remove the remaining error codes.

Superchips told me their Bluefin unit would remove most but not all error codes - so their comments were spot on.

Thanks for the replies

Is it fair to say that the Bluefin estimated power outputs are quite conservative or lower than their rivals...circa 340bhp for 335i (vs JB, Evolve 360/370bhp)?

I have Bluefin on my 335d, and it resulted in 20 BHP under estimated power (320 vs 340 bhp).

Still, not a bad bit of kit, but if it's willy waving down the pub your looking for, go somewhere else.
