INPA HAS NOW BEEN FIXED. Replace your INPA folder with this one in order to regain full diagnostic capabilities

Hey guys. As someone who started coding before it really took off I understand how hard it is to get the files working and the setup good etc. My HDD crashed and figured why not make a video on how to set it up. I didnt make this video to be pretty or entertaining. It just gets the job done . I also forgot some things like changing the com port when you plug in the cable but I think you can figure that stuff out (hopefully) . This guide will walk you through setting up BMW Standard Tools 2.12 along with v48.1 Daten. for the E89 (E90/91/92/93) platform. Without further ado I present you my wonderful cinematography work

Note: I honestly have no clue what edits I have done so If theres some weird music playing just ignore it

Thanks from everyone for this! Just for clarity, do you mean copy the ecu folder from E89 daten into the SGDAT folder, or just copy the contents of the ecu folder into SGDAT?

Thanks for the tutorial. Much appreciated.
Everything seemed fine after installation and all that jazz. Got errors on Air Bag check in INPA. I can also read cas in NCS but only once. After that all errors stating "coapi 1020" that's all I remember of it.
Working on an old HP laptop, fresh install of XP. OP would you be able to help me in this?

Yes I can help you out. Plug your cable in then open up the device manager (look around in the control panel or start--->run---> "devmgmt.msc"). Go to ports and double click on the usb to serial device then click port settings then advanced. Set the com port to port 1 (should be on 3 by default) then go to latency and set to 1ms (should be 16 by default) also ensure serial enumeration or something like that is checked off

To "BMW and pepsih"

Thank you so much for your hard work.
Your contributions to the Coding Community is highly appreciated

I am regularly following the Coding section since and trying to learn everything. Can't wait for the OEM Warranty to expire before messing with car. Will I brick anything just to test if my setup and K+DCan cable works?

No problem guys! I remember when I started a while back not knowing anything at all and downloading 30 different sets of files and none of them would work! I'm glad I helped some people out!

Do the inpa fix in the original post. Take the files from "ecu" inside the sp-daten file and put those files into "sgdat" folder inside the inpa install directory. Delete everything in sgdat before you do though

The error you're getting is saying that it can't find the file to pull info from the airbag. As long as the file is there in that folder you should be fine

The coding resources doesn't work for me.

Where do I dl winkfp with the last daten files? I think I already downloaded a small file that is used for the alpina flash (7591971A.ipa).

I have coded my car using NCSexpert (to disable lighting errors, folding mirrors, etc).

Download daten from pirate bay. Search "sp-daten" and download the v49 10 gig file then use BMW coding tool to update winkfp data

What exactly are you trying to do?
You want to flash your ECU or just do some coding?
