All is working as it should on my x64 bit system.

The issue I am having is INPA is blank (does not list the chassis numbers).
I loaded files from an early version of INPA into the CFGDAT folder.

Now i have the start page with all of the chassis.
Most of the menu's are in English but the data that gets read is in German.
*I attached a screenshot.

BTW, i have MSD80 incase that matters.

Any advice?
It will only read out in german. Thats just how it is. Use google translate

Thanks for the reply...It's what I thought but just wanted to confirm.

I recommend adding an additional step help users get the proper page when loading up INPA.

As mentioned in my previous post:
The issue I had was after the install completed, INPA was blank (does not list the chassis numbers).
I copied files from an early version of INPA from the CFDAT foler into the C:/EC-APPS/INPA/CFGDAT folder.
May want to include a copy of the files needed for the CFGDAT folder.
I attached a copy of the folder but I was not sure which files to add so I just added all of them.
Attached Files
File Type: zip CFGDAT.zip (80.8 KB, 163 views)

I wanted to add $6NR to my car since I have all the necessary hardware for BMW Apps.

Steps so far, I added $6NR to my VO, FA_WRITE to CAS and NFRM. But had some questions on SG_CODIEREN (CIC, MEDIA). I guess I load the FSW_PSW.MAN. Select E89. And CIC, MEDIA. Not sure what to do after though since I'm not changing any values right? A little clarification on this would be great. Guessing process ECU, read ECU then coapiReadSgGetFSWPSW then select SG_CODIEREN then execute. Or is that completely wrong? Thanks for the help.

Instead of the job sg_codierenselect FA_Write. This will write the new VO changes to the specific module

Great. So all I have to do is use FA_WRITE for CIC and MEDIA with the VO value $6NR and I should be good? Will try this tonight.

Ok. I did VO $6NR for CAS and NFRM. I tried FA_WRITE for CIC and MEDIA. It gave me an error message: COAPI 1063 CABD Parameterfehler (CABD Auftragsparameter) FA_WRITE after trying to FA_WRITE and MEDIA. So I tried this:

Load EXPERT MODUS profile
F1
F3
Select Chassis
CAS/NFRM
F6
F4 - select ECU you want reset aka CIC/MEDIA
F2 - change job to SG_CODIEREN
F3 Execute JOB

No errors. System reset but no BMW Apps. Did I do anything wrong?

On a side note, I noticed in my TRC file that CONNECTED_DRIVE is set to not active. I will code that to active in the CIC module and see what happens. Also I assume that BMW Assist is also in the CIC?

FA_WRITE did not work for CIC and MEDIA though. I received errors on both. I will try again tonight.

Are these the correct steps?

1. Load NCSExpert.
2. Load Profile and select Expertmode
3. F1 (VIN/ZCS/FA)
4. F3 (ZCS/FA f .ECU)
5. Choose E89 (for the E9X)
6. Select CAS
7. F6 (BACK)
8. F4 (Process ECU)
9. Select the Module I want to Revert back to Stock.
10. F2->Choose "SG_Codieren->ok
11. F3->to start coding the ecu with factory settings according to the vehicle VO.

The issue I had was after the install completed, INPA was blank (does not list the chassis numbers).
I copied files from an early version of INPA from the CFDAT foler into the C:/EC-APPS/INPA/CFGDAT folder.
Acidbbq, what version did this file come from? I really like this Impa format as I am trying to tailor my set up for e46,e92 and e70.

Currentlly, I finished step 2 with Install for e89. and hopefully today I will add the e46 and e70 folders to Inpa and NCS....

My other questions...
1)Will this CFGDAT layout be superceded with future upgrades?

2)Do you replace contents in of SGAT folder in INPA only or also in NFS and NCS expert with the Separately downloaded SGAT from orig post.....ie 2nd note: For the inpa working, use this "sgdat" folder"?

3)If the BMW Coding tool loads (in XP Compatability Mode)and I can download the SP-Daten-E89 File, then Can I skip the Command Prompt Section of the Video on a Windows 7 32bit and Windows8 64 bit Computers?

4)Also in the video its written in the note pad to transfer the plf files so "I can update them in the future .....Is that automaticly or something we need to request or a compatibility for an UPDATE PROGRAM??

I see this thread as a future sticky....Thanks for the help and Special Thanks to the OP/Rich/"BMW.."

Was trying hard to get the setup work for me for the 3 days. Sadly, the battery is dying and still no signs of progress. Each time I hit Step 7. F6 (above), I get this message and F4 tab stays blank

That INPA script will include e89 as well as other chassis.

1. don't know..i'm new to this as well.

2. that's only for INPA

3. SPDaten is the data that INPA, NCSExpert, etc are accessing for your programming needs. INPA, NCSExpert, are programs that may need to be ran in x64 compatibility mode but only if you are running an x64 machine.

4. when new ones get release is anyone's guess...

You should be able to do all of your coding while the car is running to avoid battery drain.
*Except for flashing to the TCU (Alpina)/ECU (Cobb, OpenFlash, etc).

Battery drain is a fast way to bricking a module so make sure your battery is good, get a trickle charger or keep car running while coding.
