just purchased set of H&R springs and wanted to know what to be prepared for if i go to fit them in the garage.
also brake discs and pads are laying here ready to go on.

be anywhere between 120/180 mate as you mentioned garages vary so much!

but if you get it under 150 thats a good price you shouldnt be paying more than 180 IMO

started to ring up local garages and already have a quote of 250 for springs + discs & pads... would be good to close this within 200 tbh,

Was about to say either BNDynamix in Wigan (as above) or Darren Wood in Stockport.

Hm as i recall Ash Wheels & Tyres charged me 100 to fit my Eibach Pro Kit Springs...they have a website too they're based on the A12/Eastern Avenue off of Oaks Park Lane in East London/Ilford but this may be too far for you...also the price was decent because i'm a regular there and they know me lol but yeah anything between 100-160'ish i'd say...you gotta take into account the 4 wheel alignment/cambers tracking you're gonna need to get done after letting the springs settle in for about 50-100 miles

Also seeing as you're going down the H&R route regardless of whether you were on SE or Msport before i dont know if you have but you better make sure you're changing your shock absorbers too...that's why i went for the Eibach Pro Kit because they're similar to the stock Msport so i didnt have to change anything apart from the springs but enough to close the gaps on the arches

Hope that helps!

i will see what the car will be like if the shocks will be necessary i will get them sorted too, i quite liked the looks of the e90's on h&r springs, folks saying that the pro kit is not lowering the rear at all therefore i went extreme way

Yeah but people who generally say eibach is not enough have a lighter engine but as you got a 335 would have been fine I know I think if was skelts who has a 335i and eibachs on his e92 and the drop was perfect

H&R's are good but I still like the ability to go over humps lol

But I meant you should upgrade your shocks not replace them for the same I heard good things about koni yellows or something like that but let us know how you get on!

well i was obviously thinking about uprated shocks
there is few options i looked into already (bilstein, koni)
i probably would have gone adjustable coilovers way but i did not wanted to have a proper hard ride with all the plastics in the car rattle...

well i hope i will still be able to go over humps and stuff,
i have a habit of slowing down or even stop before speed bumps anyway,
i will keep you posted about the outcome.

right, got 'em finally installed in a friendly garage, they were not sure of doing it as they are little bit old school but i convinced them lol,
once finished they said that was a T**T of a job (it took 'em most of a day to sort it...)
been charged 200 in total for springs and front brakes
it was not a bad option for me as it is not far and i got a courtesy car for a time my car was in there
i may do bit of a write up about my experience with H&R, but as for now i did not get a chance to drive much because e90 went to body shop to get the M kit installed and sprayed... 4 wheel alignment next on the list
