VIDEO: Audi RS5 exhaust clip + pictures
A friend of mine went to go test drive the RS5 today and asked me if I wanted to come along.
I don't have any videos of the test drive, but I do have an exhaust clip and some pics! Truly an amazing machine! He drove the car back-to-back with a frozen black M3 and said that the M3 just didn't give him the feel and enjoyment that the RS5 did. Character definitely goes to the RS5, as does exhaust note, technology, luxury... pretty much everything.... Yes, the e9x M days are dated, and I can't wait to see the new M4, but this car made the e92 look and feel a bit dated. *My friend has a C63 and owned a 335i (n54) in the past. Here is the video!

I'm not sure. It was definitely the metallic black though (it was 'sparkly' for lack of a better word). I know the car had the titanium package as well.

It is beautiful to look at. Interior is pure luxury. Engine sounds amazing, revs to no end. Dual clutch easily rivals the DCT. The throttle blips catch peoples attention on the road. Although most see it as a M3 rival, which it is. It is actually a great GT car. Anyone considering a new 6-series, should definitely consider the RS5 for less money. Went to the Audi dealership the other day. Their cars just seem almost over engineered. They have a unique solid look and feel. Kinda hard to explain. I really respect audi for making a high revving V8 like the S65. I might have gotten this car but the M3 had more meaning for me. as its a car i wanted for years, the RS5 i started to like only recently.

I'm really liking Audi these days. The RS5 was a joy to be a passenger in, even in the back, I felt like I was in a perfect blend of fast sports car and luxury GT car. The S7 is also a beautiful and luxurious machine along with the new S8 (supposedly just as fast in a straight line as a 458 Italia).
I really want to see the M4 now, BMW better step it up and stop with this smaller engine, more mpg, cheaper interior crap that we see on the F3X!

I want to like this car, well I do like it, but the lowish torque is a minus.
Positives are many. Looks, sound, interior and features. It would still be hard to pass the good old C63, sedan for myself, with the development package for around the same price. Choices are great. Mine would probably lean towards that freight train torque.

I do agree though, I love the instant torque of my 335is, and the C63 is a true monster (although it almost has too much power for what it is). My friend said he spent about 10k in tires (track time, not doing donuts on the street) and just could barely keep the car in a straight line on the street.... The C63 just wants to misbehave unless you drive it like a grandma.
