Give us a call if you have any questions regarding fitment!

what are the specs on this car's suspension? staggered or square? spacers? tire size?

i just picked up an '11 e90 with MSport package and looking at my options as far as a track-day/autocross setup goes. I'm not hard core and this isn't a dedicated track car, but i do push the car pretty hard when i'm out there…. My desires are:

- would like option to go R-Comps
- do NOT want to get into roll/camber/etc
- don't mind smallish spacers for a decent look or for necessity
- interested in hearing ideal square AND ideal staggered setups on 17 AND 18s for this car
- interested on input on running non-rcomps (softer sidewall, right?) with a 17" wheel for track duty … is this a bad idea for street tires (e.g.: Direzzas / RS3 / RE-11) or are those tires okay on a 17" wheel?

i've read through your previous posts and there's a lot of good info but can't quite gather quite enough to put together answers for my own questions. there are just so many variables with each case!

thanks so much for the help!

Matt

Looking for 17 or 18 concave for both front and rear of my e90 LCI..... What's the widest tire I can accommodate I the rear? Im on stock sport suspension and will most likely remain on it.

Thanks

The concave ARC-8's would likely require camber in the front to clear the fender, so you'd need aftermarket camber plates in order to run concave in the front. The widest tire in the rear would be a 265/35/18 on the 18x9.5" ET35 ARC-8s but this setup may rub on the plastic fender liner. We have an E90 LCI company car that is using that setup with Michelin PSS and it does rub slightly, but we are okay with that. If you want to avoid rubbing, using a less meaty tire than the PSS could work or you could use 255/35/18 street tires as well.

Another great option would be our EC-7's. The 18x9" ET31 will allow you to have concave Profile 2 wheels in the front without modifying your suspension and you can use a 235/40/18 or 245/35/18 street tire. Additionally, the 18x9.5" ET43 Profile 2 EC-7 is a better offset for the rear of the LCI as it will eliminate the rubbing issues with a 265/35/18 street tire and you should even be able to get away with a 5mm spacer in the rear if you want to push it out a little more. Please let us know if you have any other questions about wheel fitment for your E90 LCI and we'd be happy to assist you.

Here are some photos of our company car with the 18x9" ET31 and 18x9.5" ET35 for Bimmerfest, but with Toyo R888 R-compound tires that are much wider than normal tires. The car is lowered on MCS 1WNR coilvers with camber plates, and tire sizes of 255/35/18 and 265/35/18 Toyo R888's, about -2.5 degrees of camber in the front and -1.5 degrees in the rear with rolled fenders:

The recommended squared setup for a pre-LCI e90 would be the 17x9" ET30 ARC-8's with 255/40/17 street tire all around if you have camber plates. PM on the way with a quote!

Unfortunately we do not have the original photo to be able to tell for sure, but from looking at the tread pattern, it looks like it may be a Michelin Pilot Super Sport tire.

David,

I'm considering a square setup for my car with the concave 17x9 ET30 ARC 8 wheels, but am concerned that they will rub in the front. I have a 4 door 2007 328xi with stock suspension. My plan is to use a narrow 235/45 tire. Is that enough to clear the strut and the fender in the front? If not, can a slight camber adjustment do the trick, or would I need camber plates and/or rolled fenders?

Thanks for your help!

-Noah

Still possible to get a deal on these? Uncle Sam screwed me out of the group buy, otherwise they'd be sitting in my garage as I type this.

Thank you for your interest in APEX Race Parts. Unfortunately, we are not currently running any promotions or deals on these wheels. Since we just ended the ARC-8 group buy a week ago, we are unsure when the next group buy will be, but it will likely be early 2015. Please feel free to contact us with any other questions you may have, thanks again.
