Trouble is everyone knows these crack as a pasttime and they'll be needing 300 of tyres so think you've priced them a bit high, MV4s aren't worth as much as they should be because they crack so easily.

.?

Interesting! I will try that tact with the Main dealer. Your wheels may crack in the future....may I please have them cheaper?
Set of four please with new tyres.......oh, sorry, may get a puncture so discount that too!

If they were cracked they would be cheaper but what a comment to come out with.

If the timing chain on your car snaps it will be worth less but as it hasn't does it make it the lesser value in case it does.

Well, it's the reason I went for a 56 320D rather than an 08 318D (not deciding but was there) and the same reason despite really liking these, that I could never own a set.

All wheels could crack, but these seem to crack far more often.

I love it when people throw rational thought out of the window. Was merely some advice. And something a prospective buyer should know. This is the first set I've seen for sale on here that haven't had at least one crack/repair, seen more rears cracked than fronts too.

Why make a comment about cracking rims on the guys for Sale thread? FFS there's some strange people on here.
To the OP Good luck with the sale.

You might want to familiarise yourself with the classified rules:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/announ....php?f=117&a=2

Most people who frequent the forum are aware of the frailty of BMW wheels, and it's certainly not just confined to the MV4's.
The seller confirmed that the wheels were not cracked, what's the problem?

By the way, the 320D is notorious for blowing it's turbo, just thought I'd mention it, as you mentioned 'rational thought' disappearing out of the window.
