Tyre change time

What non RFT's would you recommend

I don't fancy paying 1000+ to replace them so am looking into normal tyres

My alloys are the 313M 19's on a E93

If you want budget achilles atr sport tires are great for the money I bought some as money was tight at the time when I had my e46 with 19" tires I bought a complete set of 4 for 300 and the rears lasted 20k miles and front didn't need changing in 30k miles of ownership

I changed from RFTs to Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 Non-RFTs
Sizes F 235/35/19 R 265/30/19
Cost about 720 from Camskill.
Ride is much better than the RFTs - and no cracked Alloys either

I bought the correct sizes 225/35x19 and 255/30x19 from Camskill and paid 700 and got 40 of Tesco vouchers too.

They are very good tyres.

My rears are 265 as well. Any difference between the 255?

And to OP, depends how much you want to spend. I recently bought a tyre that cost 120 for my rear side. They meant to be towards the cheap end but honestly i don't feel a change in ride quality at all.

Currently a 50 cash back offer if you buy two or more Michellin tyres from Camskill. Perfect excuse to get the Pilot Super Sports.

Those of you using online firms like camskill, where are you getting these fitted? I've always thought my local tyre shop would be reluctant to fit tyres I hadn't purchased directly from them

not normally, they sometimes charge you abit more (like 15 per wheel instead of 10) but end of the day, work is work, would be silly to turn it away.

just need to take this into consideration when ordering online, its always worth getting an online price then trying your local, independant tyre retailer to see if they can get near the price with fully fitted tyres...

I'm running Falken 453's on 19" csl reps and cant fault them at all. excellent dry grip, progressive when wet and wear seems decent enough. was about 600 all round fitted if it remember correctly

+1 on Asymmetic's....... grip is amazing in this hot weather, sticks like sh*t to a blanket.

Whatever non run flat you get, make sure you get XL (extra load) tyres.....

I would back this, pilot sports seem the real deal. I'm on run flats so can only imagine what the non run flat version must be like.

Whatever you decide, make sure to check German eBay, as some tyres are cheaper there.

Just a heads up. I'm buying tyres for my t5 at the moment. I have searched high and low, (all day yesterday.)

I've just had a price that is 20 a corner cheaper than anywhere else for both the goodyear assym 2s, and dunlop maxx RTs.

His name is funky tyres, find him on facebook.

Im yet to pull the trigger but it looks like I will.

Out of interest, when changing from RFT's (which I have currently) to proper tyres what do you guys do regarding a puncture as in a spare or?

Just the question I wanted to ask. I'm also changing from RFTs as they are too loud but don't want to spend an arm and a leg.
