So I passed on the LSD
And no I ain't trippin...
At the end of the day I had the opportunity to get $800 off and pull the trigger on an LSD for my car, but passed on it. I just don't think I'd utilize it enough- maybe I'll change my mind next spring huh... Is there anything that you guys may have passed up on, as hard as it may have been at the time, only to realize it was for the greater good when it comes to mods? |

Man I just met up with a guy from out of town who wanted to rip on some local back roads. I then realized how vital a limited slip diff really is. I had the stupid E-Diff doing some weird stuff when accelerating hard on moderately cambered corners. Also smoked the bejesus out of the inside tire on some 1st gear 90s. An LSD is a must on this platform. I'm about to break the piggy bank for one. I hope you don't regret your decision but these cars need them badly when tuned.
The worst thing I passed up on was an ETS Intercooler NIB. Someone was offering one new in box for $600 and at the time I didn't realize how difficult it was to get a used one in good shape so I passed it up. I ended up paying retail which was something like $770 with shipping. Wait, the worst might actually have been the custom alcantara steering wheel with the ///M stitching for $500. ![]() Last edited by loesch; 08-08-2013 at 11:05 PM. |

I guess it all comes down to driving style. I thought it through and said to myself self...how often will you be tracking, drifting, or mashing it out of corners?
Then I had my answer. That coin is better spent towards a townhouse...right now ![]() |

If I could make just three modifications to my car, the LSD would be #3 after CDV delete and non-RFT tires.
An LSD is a mod that transforms the 335 into a sports car. I think pretty much anyone can benefit from it.
