SIB 120912

Anyone out there done this update on their N55? I am wondering if it fixes the rev jump that happens shortley after when the car comes to a stop??

Many thanks.

Not sure about your problem, but I recently had this update performed under this SIB. Can't say I noticed much of a difference at all, except that the new DME allowed me to install the Cobb tune

Dealer says nothing is wrong

So I reported the issues that others have had and suggested looking up the SIB 120912. They had the shop foreman check it out and as suspected, they found "nothing". My SA said I had the current software update. I asked for the number and he gave me 0011303503. Is that even a firmware ID?? Can anyone chime in on what actions I can take now? This is very frustrating...

Yes, actually did this a few days ago.

I reported a similar issue with turbo lag and then a big rpm spike. the dealer had a bulletin on the build and did a reprogram. Def a much better ride without the lag and kick.

I also needed the upgrade to install my APv3 so only ran with the stock upgraded DME for a day. But a noticeable improvement to the ride quality (no performance gains).

Did they give you any issues or the famous "cannot recreate the problem"? I even told them how it's now a safety issue (which it is).

The service report had the "cannot replicate the problem" but there is a bulletin out so they just reprogrammed. Didnt give me any issues about it.

I have now had the car updated and can report the 'rev jump' when stopped is still there, however the lag when accellerating from a rolling start is much better.

So definitely worthwhile but really disappointed the rev jump is not fixed.
