Do you need both items to make it work? What year car did you use this in, idrive or no idrive?

one or the other, you do not need both.

not all cars have the media dock.

if you have idrive u should have the usb + 3.5mm in your arm rest.

Prices are best reasonable offer, i do not know what these cost, or if BMW discontinued the use of these?
