Transmission Swap - Coding?

Hey guys.

Finishing up a transmission swap from auto > manual.
Anyone know what needs to be coded on each car to support this?

My friend and I are swapping transmissions but am expecting coding issues.

Thanks.

I think you will need to remove $205 from your VO and add $207. Then code CAS, KOMBI, and FRM with expert mode. Somebody please verify this as I have never done it.

Last I read was that everything was plug and play.. Unless you are installing a completely different slushie... I think to just reset adaptations and go.

The transmission module is inside the mechatronics unit inside the transmission, you should code this to your VIN, otherwise you can remove it and install it in the new tranny.

As far as auto to manual thats a different story, likely need to change your cars VO (Vehicle Order) codes and then recode the entire car with expert mode.

Thanks guys, hoping to start the swap next week.
I'll update this thread once the manual stuff is done and we start coding.

Trannies are swapped, just waiting for my drive shaft; the 6 speed came from an XI and it is a different size than I need.

Outside of the one time use bolts on a few things it was plug and play.
Next stop; coding!
