Scott,
Congrats, It looks absolutely fabulous, great choice and I love the colour and interior combination. Those alloys look very shiny....so try not to curb them!!

looks lovely - not sure about the wheels, but I know they will look better in the flesh.

I drove one of these when they first came out and liked it, and when I sold my e92 earlier in the year I spoke to Mercedes about doing a deal, but they were pretty disappointing and offered nothing like what you managed to get.

Lovely looking car, congratulations. I'd probably be getting the 4 door version as my next car if they actually did a decent petrol engine besides the V8 but all their other offerings are anaemic since they dropped the 350 petrol and that was only available in the coupe anyway. It's strange that Merc don't seem to offer a decent alternative to the 335i.

Thats a write-up close to my heart Scott (just missing the bold headings )

I think you'd have been on shaky ground pulling out of that one at the stage you were thinking about it and in any case, car looks great (aesthetics wise, nicer than a F30 saloon).

Interesting what you say about the BMW/Merc diesels being noisier than the VAG equivalents. Is this really the case?

Thanks for all the comments, managed to do a few more miles this week. Seems I have the usual "pull to the left" problem so it's in with the dealer on Friday although not expecting them to fix it. Will be off to wheels in motion if not and then merc will get the bill.

Andrew, you had a similar problem with you c63 didn't you? Did wim fix it for you?

As for the Diesel engines I am more talking about the 4 cylinder units. The merc is quite rough and the BMW is better but can still sound like a proper diesel at times. Our tt sounded much better and not as rough but this my opinion :-)

I am only just averaging 30mpg and 27 into work this morning :-0

Looks great Scott. Loving the colour and contrasting sticking inside.

More support for your opinion here. I have no experience of the Merc diesel but both the 4 pot diesel BMWs I've had have been much less refined than the VAG diesels that I have owned or had as hire cars.

We also have a dirt cheap old citroen HDi and that engine puts both the VAG and the BMW 4 pot to shame for refinement.

I'm actually amazed the Merc is rougher than the BMW as I find it particularly bag of hammers like.

Well it's funny you say that, put a few more miles on it and its getting quieter in fact I would say its getting a lot better. Funny the BMW 4 cylinder although very good is very noisy. However their 6 cylinders are awesome :-)

Nice!

You need some black wheel centres though....

Oh, and you wont want to hear about my creaking panoramic roof....

Very nice. Classy and smart. I nearly went for the Palladium, but as I'd never owned a white car I decided to go for that instead. I really like the Sport Plus trim on mine, the red is a lovely contrast. I opted out of the red seatbelts though, as they looked a bit to garish. The handling pack wasn't available on the V6 petrol, but I think it already comes with some revisions to the standard setup.

Currently I've got a lowly C180 hire car now as some utter cockwhisk decided to drive his van down the side of my parked car, so it's in for extensive repairs.
