Mismatch brand on tires

Does having different brand tires but the same size affect the Xi drive. I have two Bridgestone potenza that are 245/35r19 but I wanna buy two tires that are the same size but from a different brand. Any info would help thank.

Not recommended, but almost certainly the AWD and DSC systems will be ok (they're used to some differences due to tire wear.) Be sure to put the new tires on the rear.

What if you have a staggared set up? You can't put front sizes in the front...

You can run a staggered setup. I run 235 in the front and 265 in the rear. As long as the diameter is the same.

From what I've been told as long as the fronts are the same and the rears are the same you're fine.

Garage List
This responses on this tread are like a terrible game of telephone...

OP, I am running different brand of tires on the front than the rears on a staggered setup and haven't experienced any issues. Haven't been on snow yet so not sure how that'll be but I don't foresee any issues.

I had damage to the sidewall on my front right so I just replaced both of them but had 10k left on the rears so there was no point replacing them too.
