Thank you Dracon for the 2014 NA Navigation update (CIC) and FSC code. Worked like a charm!

same here, updated my 09 E93 with Dracon's code over the weekend.
Did take like 7 hours so I hooked up a battery charger while
this was going on as I got a low battery indicator.

'08 e92 - CCC

Got the Professional maps for a CCC and burned it at the slowest speed (x2), however the system couldn't read it at all...

I've been using 2012 maps that's been working intermittently, but no luck with these new ones.

Any suggestions to get this to work?

I first burned using a Windows PC and the system couldn't read the disk at some
point. Then I used a macbook pro to burn at 2.8X and that worked for me.

7 HOURS?! Omg! Did you use the DVD method?

I have an 09 and my iDrive was updated previously by the dealer so I could use the USB update. Took 20 mins.

Yeah, he used the DVD method. I think there was either an issue with the burning, or his DVD drive in the iDrive is having issues or some other external factor. Other's have used the DVD method and it took ~45 minutes.

If all else fails, I know hugo330i is burning discs and sending them out to people that need them. You could check with him to get a copy of the discs.

Make sure you are not using a dual layer DVD, just a regular 3.7 GB one. Also make sure you are using a disk-at-once method and not something that allows for more sessions.
And finally, make sure you are burning a disk, not copying the ISO to the DVD.

Any chance of adding the red light / speed trap info to the 2014 maps (similar to 2013)?

Not sure how this was done.

I'm the second owner of 2009 335i built in 11/08, and I'd like to know if there is a another way (process posted by JustinGTP doesn't work) to verify that the CIC firmware was updated. On the 2013 Navigation thread it was mentioned that if the rectangle shown at the upper right corner (where the phone signal, time, USB connected, etc., are displayed) disappear after pushing down the i-Drive knob, it is an indication that the firmware was updated.

Does anyone can confirm if this correct. Also, in case the firmware has not been updated, is there any risk if I try to install the maps from the USB?

It looks like some of the other guys out there are offering a single USB solution. Any chance this can make it up on a torrent for download? I already have the 3 USB file but I would like to avoid the switching hassle.

Hey guys, i downloaded the maps using the attached torrent file " North_America_PROFESSIONAL_2014.torrent.txt" and installed perfectly on the car but now the maps on the idrive screen are totally blank, i see the car moving on a white map. Anyone had this issue? anyone has any idea on how to fix this? Thank you!

I downloaded the attached maps file. Have an FSC code. Followed the instructions and put the appropriate files on a 32GB USB drive. Inserted the USB drive into the glovebox slot and it asked if I wanted to update my maps. I clicked yes and it then went to a screen that says "Please connect the USB drive 1 to start the update".

I tried it with the ignition key in/engine off with the above result. Ignition key in/engine on, same result. Tried inserting the USB drive first, then inserting the ignition key, starting the engine, ad infinitum and no luck.

It recognizes the drive and that it has updated maps data on it, but then keeps asking me to insert USB drive 1 to start the update and just sits there like that for a good 10-15 minutes...I gave up at that point.

Was I supposed to keep waiting?

???

Just finished up with the upgrade. A little tough but, as I have never down this before. Learning experience. Found using 3 thumb drives easier than going back and forth to the computer and the car.
Many thanks to Alex for the code, and Dracon for the torrent. Much appreciated!

Thanks I just downloaded this.

As others have said, I have a 2009 as the second owner. Is there any obvious way to see if it will work via USB? The Up-Down-Up-Down-Left-Right-Left-Right B A Start thing doesn't seem to bring up any hidden menu on my iDrive.

I'm sad that Dracon is no longer making FSC codes can anyone point me in the direction of another vendor on the site that will do this?
