Euro ECU - US 335d

Since the EPA is closed right now, I figured this would be a good time to ask this question.

Is it possible to swap (with a little work, I know, I know) a Euro 335d ECU into a US 335d? Has anyone attempted? I am pretty interested in trying it, but would like to see if anyone else has thought about it and what they found if they did.

- The euro 335d doesn't seem to have all the carbon issues that we have
- Has 286HP stock instead of 265HP
- Has many more options available for tuning and performance (as far as I can tell)
- Would be like importing one without importing one...kinda

I doubt it. IIRC our board has more in common with that of the N57 than the Euro M57.

That would be a whole lotta work.

1) You'd have to do a SCR delete - the older one doesn't support it.
2) You might have to do a DPF delete.
3) Transmission program might not like it - might not interface with old DDE.
4) Car's computer systems and programming might need to be retro-ed to integrate - and might not work due to US-specific stuff not having support in old DDE.
5) Swirl flap controls are electrical, not vacuum.

I might try this out. It's the closest I can get to importing a euro car over.

Anyone know where I can get wiring diagrams for both cars?
